Has it really been a year?

Yesterday saw the first memorial service for all those killed during the second Lebanon war. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert could not find time in his busy schedule to attend. I'm still not sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing...

About time...

I actually registered this blog almost two years, but the catalyst that made me decide to start posting was Tony Blair's resignation. On the one hand, I'm glad that the UK has finally entered the post-Blair era. On the other hand, I'm not sure that Gordon Brown is a big deal for a replacement. But the real bad news, as far as I'm concerned, is that for some strange reason he thinks that he is now going to bring peace to the Middle East. He must be joking. The last thing the West in general and Israel in particular needs is British appeasement. Hopefully, he will soon realise that he doesn't belong here. He should go and joins his old pal Bill on the mega-bucks lecture circuit. If he doesn't know how it works, I'm sure that Cherie can help him.
